Spry Peppermint Gum with Xylitol

Desktop Review:  Spry Peppermint Gum

Spry Peppermint Gum is a great choice for those looking to prevent dental decay and avoid the usual artificial sweeteners found in other chewing gums.  Spry gum contains a non-fermentable sugar alcohol called xylitol. Xylitol was originally introduced as a safe sweetener for those with diabetes as opposed to sugar. Spry gum holds up to extended chewing times and costs up to 3 times less than some name brand chewing gums that also contain xylitol but only in minimal amounts.  Spry has a great peppermint flavor that lasts and is also lower in calories than sugar. Xylitol has up to 33% less calories than sucrose but is just about as sweet. It is a natural sweetener that can be found in many fruits and vegetables but also can be made from berries, parts of the corn and sugar cane. Compared with artificial sweeteners it has almost no aftertaste. Spry Peppermint may enhance dental health when chewed regularly after meals too.
